Class Absence & Makeup Policy
 

🎾How It Works

We know life happens - kids get sick, school runs late, or sometimes the week just gets away from you. Here’s how we handle absences so everyone knows what to expect so our classes can run smoothly. 

 

1. If Your Child is Sick 🤒 

• One-off sickness → Let us know asap before the class and you can have 1 make-up lesson per term. 

• Sick for a week or more → Let us know as soon as possible. On a case-by-case basis we might offer a percentage of the class cost as credit, but make-ups for the missed classes are preferred.

Example: 

Sam has a cold and misses one class. His mum texts the night before → Sam can join another class later in the term (max 1 make-up for the term).
Mia gets the flu and misses two weeks → Mia’s family contacts the coach to arrange makeups. 

 

2. If Your Child is Injured 🦵 

• If they can’t play for a week or more → On a case-by-case basis we might offer a percentage of the class cost as credit, but make-ups for the missed classes are preferred.

• Please give us an idea of when they’ll be back so we can plan. 

Example: 

Liam sprains his ankle and can’t play for 3 weeks → his family contacts the coach to arrange makeups.
 

3. If You Just Can’t Make It 🚗 

• 12+ hours notice → Eligible for 1 make-up lesson per term (have to find another day to make up the class). 

• Less than 12 hours notice → Sorry, no make-up or credit. 

Example: 

Ella has a school trip and misses tennis. Dad emails two days before → she can use her 1 make-up for the term on another class. Jack’s family calls two hours before → no make-up or credit. 

 

4. No-Shows (No Message) 🚫 

• No refund, credit, or make-up. 

• This also applies to last-minute cancellations (less than 12 hours), unless it’s a genuine emergency. 

Example: 

Coach is on court and Jack doesn’t arrive, no message given → counted as attended.

 

💡 Tip: To book a make-up, please message us early - spaces are limited and fill up fast!
